You need to assume the quiet accelerationists and the militias who have suddenly gone offline have been organizing. They are strategically and steadily preparing for certain events to kick off.
We would always wonder when we would see these events start to escalate.
If we are at war, we are at war with twitch streamers, twitter famous right wingers, pardoned J6ers, the federal government, Charlie Kirk supporters, and newly activated activists who are intentionally causing chaos.
Don’t get caught up in it. Use it to organize. Form affinity groups.
Many of us woke up this week to realize we have shifted and that fascism in the United States had escalated. Whether it was a feeling, an intuition, paying attention to what was going on, light bulbs are going off that the fascism barometer has moved.
As communities across the United States are preparing and watching National Guard being deployed to Red States, Washington DC and tested in Los Angeles California, remembering when you are researching tactics, history will be crucial.
I’ve always known John Brown was an abolitionist, but until recently I never new the extent of his role in the Civil War. John Brown dedicated his life to ending slavery. He reminds me of some of my white counter parts now. Standing with Black leaders, organizing and helping. Creating community defense networks and rapid response teams. We empathize with him because of how folks back then created the narrative that he was a lunatic and history books never mention him. We see that today when people just discard us in conversations as being radicals and too emotional. John Brown as heroic and brave as he was, he fucked up.
At a crucial moment during the battle of Harpers’ Ferry, he basically was arguing tactics with the white hostages he took. Debating and placating them he hesitated fleeing into the hills. His tactic was to strike and retreat. Except this time he hesitated. This proved to be the turning point for John Brown. Him and his comrades were captured and hanged. The Civil War raged on and instead of cultivating Black power in Black lead resistance and states, the union won and what we have now was created.
Learning from history and from John Brown himself is important. Make sure your small groups are Black/Feme/Trans led. Make sure you cultivate trust, community and solidarity. Make sure you keep your discourse with people who question your tactics to a minimum.

Bend Oregon- On Saturday, August 2nd at 2pm, Central Oregon for Socialism was having their weekly protest for Palestine at the Peacecorner in Bend Oregon. COS and other comrades have been out at the Peacecorner every week since the renewed genocide on Palestine was taking place for over 600 days.
A known Zionist/supporter of Israel approached the protesters with his young son and engaged in a heated debate and exchange. The known agitator is Adam Brant of Bend Oregon. At 2pm towards the end of the protest when everyone was packing up their gear, Adam lost his cool and began pushing Palestinian protesters, targeting Trans activists, women and all in front of his own son and protesters young kids as well.

This isn’t the first time that Adam has approached the Peacecorner with hate and violence to spew his nonsense. Adam was first spotted in the Summer of 2024, harassing peaceful protesters at the Peacecorner.

Adam’s facebook is just what you would expect. He is claiming that if you are pro-Palestinian you are a terrorist. Same old narrative that has been used to de-humanize people who only want peace and for Palestine to be free. Adam however is not peaceful. He is extremely violent and is only a bully. Teaching his young son that only violence and hate is the answer. Adam needs a reminder that violence in front of a young child in the state of Oregon is child abuse. Through documents obtained via public portals, there was an immediate danger custody order issued in Brant’s custody case.
